There are many programs in Utah since the age of majority is 18 years-old. Your teen does not have the ability to sign themselves out of the program without their parent’s consent before the age of 18. In many states, especially on the East Coast, the age of majority can be 16 or 17. If you have a younger teen, you can risk them walking out of a program and the family is still financially liable.
